OIC meeting discusses Israeli PM’s plan to annex large parts of occupied lands in West Bank

The emergency meeting of Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the level of foreign ministers was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia today.

The meeting discussed the recent Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks in which he said he would annex large parts of the occupied lands in West Bank including the Jordan Valley.

In his opening remarks, OIC Secretary General, Yousef Al-Othaimeen called to put in place mechanisms to hold Israel accountable for its aggression against the Palestinians.

Palestinian foreign minister said Netanyahu’s recent announcement undermines the efforts of peace and threatens the regional and world stability.

Saudi Foreign Minister, Ibrahim Abdulaziz Al-Assaf said Israeli plans are illegal.

Turkish foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu said Israeli occupation in Palestinian territories inflicted heavy damage on daily lives of Palestinians.
