KP Govt adopts zero tolerance against hunting of migratory birds

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Environment, Forests and Wildlife Department, Syed Ishtiaq Urmar says the provincial government has adopted zero tolerance against unlawful hunting of migratory birds and wildlife.

In a statement, he said field staff of wildlife department has been mobilized to save the endangered houbara, falcons, cranes and ducks from poachers and hunters during winter season in the province.

He said after the start of winter season these birds migrate to Pakistan from Cyberia, Mangolia and Central Asian Republics due to severe cold and heavy snowfall in those countries.
