Kashmiris will observe complete shutdown on Modi’s IIOJK visit on 24th

Islamabad, April 21, 2022

(KMS): Kashmiris will observe complete shutdown on Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on April 24 (Sunday).

Shutdown in IIOJK on Modi’s visit meant to convey a message that Kashmiris reject India’s illegal hold of their homeland, said a report released by Kashmir Media Service, today.

The report said that the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leadership in a statement in Srinagar said that Modi’s visit to the territory is a cruel joke with the Kashmiri people. Modi’s visit to IIOJK is aimed at misleading the world about the real situation in IIOJK, the reported deplored.

It said the RSS-backed BJP regime has broken all the records of brutality in Kashmir, adding Kashmiris are victims of fake encounters, disappearances, extrajudicial killings, torture and humiliation by Indian troops.

The report lamented that Modi regime was hell bent on changing demography of IIOJK by accommodating non Kashmiris in the territory.

It sad Kashmiris only want peaceful and just settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute as unresolved Kashmir dispute poses a grave threat to peace and stability in South Asia.

The report maintained that the Kashmiris were destined to succeed and India’s defeat was writing on the wall.
