UN Chief urges Pakistan, India to hold dialogue to resolve crisis

The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has again expressed serious concern over grave humanitarian situation in occupied Kashmir.

A UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric during a regular briefing said that Secretary-General remains concerned over the grave situation in occupied Kashmir where people are languishing under a tight lockdown.

The UN chief also urged Pakistan and India to hold dialogue to resolve the crisis.

In reply to a question, the spokesman said that the Secretary-General’s position on Kashmir has not changed.

He said the UN Secretary General has underscored the need for addressing human rights of the Kashmiri people in order to resolve the crisis.
