US Senate notes with concern current humanitarian crisis in occupied Kashmir

The US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations in its report ahead of annual Foreign Appropriation Act for 2020 has added an appeal to end the humanitarian crisis in occupied Kashmir.

According to the report, the committee notes with concern the current humanitarian crisis in occupied Kashmir and calls on India to fully restore telecommunications and Internet services; lift its lockdown and curfew; and release individuals detained after revocation of special status given to occupied Kashmir.

This report accepted unanimously by the bipartisan committee, is a strong expression of concern by the Senate about the situation in occupied Kashmir.
