26 PSA detainees from IIOJK shifted to Agra Jail

Quoting official sources news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) reported that twenty six detainees were shifted outside IIOJK on Thursday by the authorities through an order issued by Home department of the territory. They said all the twenty six detainees were lodged in different jails across IIOJK for the last few days after spurt in civilian killings.

Official sources further said among 26 new PSA detainees, six are from Srinagar, five each from Bandipora and Pulwama, four from Badgam, three from Baramulla, two from Shopian and one from Islamabad.

The reasons have not been given for the move of twenty six new PSA detainees.

Notably, on October 19, twenty two (22) PSA detainees from the Kashmir Valley were shifted to Agra jail. In total 48 Kashmiri detainees booked under PSA have been shifted to Agra.
