Hashmat Habib President Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Adlia has pointed out that lawyers and judiciary are subject to conspiracy to test nerves of legal fraternity to achieve hidden objects in order to frustrate people’s protest against the government. He said bench and bar involved become judiciary otherwise we have to face injustice everywhere.
Hashmat Habib urged that section 7ATA should be removed forthwith and Hon Supreme Court must pass order in this regard. Action against the police officials and establishment who are responsible of causing this ugly incident must be taken.
The senior lawyer said District Judge had given direction to remove two Chambers built on footpath but the establishment abused this order and demolished over 200 Chambers. They destroyed valuable property of lawyers and files of citizens which is on the face of it a crime and requires stern action by Judiciary otherwise the protest may emerge into countrywide agitation and same may not be controllable.
Arrest of Ch. Zafar Warraich a 75 years Senior Advocate Supreme Court and former judicial officer is an example of illegal act of police at the behest of government. Imran Khan Regime has adopted section 7ATA like Military dictator Pervez Musharraf who arrested over 400 students from Lal Masjid but the then Supreme Court judge Mr. Nawaz Abbasi gave shut up call and section 7ATA was removed forthwith. Therefore, present Supreme Court should have taken notice of this abuse of law against Senior and young Lawyers.
In the past we have seen that Pervez Musharraf was removed by lawyers’ movement but this time the situation is more serious as the establishment has successfully executed conspiracy resultantly Judiciary and Lawyers are opposite to each other while police is still active under the shelter of storming at court premises and causing inhuman harassment to lawyers and their families.
He said immediate order be passed for withdrawal of FIRs and release of arrested lawyers. Chief Justice Islamabad High Court who plays role as head of the Judiciary of Islamabad may also withdraw his all previous directions relating to storming of CJ office.
