Kuala Lumpur: Mohammad Azmi Abdul Hamid, the Coordinator of Asean NGO Advocacy Group for Kashmir and President of Malaysia Consultative Council of Islamic Organisation has fully supported the call by Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organization.
Mushaal Hussein Mullick has demanded of the United Nations to carry out impartial and transparent judicial inquiry into the extrajudicial killing of Kashmiris by troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Mohammad Azmi Abdul Hamid in a statement issued in Kuala Lumpur said that the UN must intervene and halt the impunity without delay as the unabated brutalities by the Indian forces in the occupied territory had violated all international laws and were clearly executing crimes against humanity. “We regret that the UN has not acted promptly to the Indian brutalities and killing of innocent Kashmiris in fake encounters,” he added.
He also condemned the barbaric act of targeting innocent youth who stand up against the fascist Indian government to demand for the right to self-determination. He said, “We reaffirm the legitimate rights of Kashmir freedom fighters to resist and respond to the Indian state terrorism.”
Mohammad Azmi Abdul Hamid deplored that the Kashmiri civilians were victims of extreme brutalities and killings at the hands of the Indian fascist regime. Extrajudicial killings are rampant in the territory. Indian soldiers exceeded their powers and executed the extrajudicial killings of three Kashmiri men on July 18 in Shopian district, he added.
He abhorred the Indian forces that had been taking youth into their custody during search operations and ended up in their death. Leaving corpses of the murdered youth by the Indian forces to decompose after refusing to hand over the body to their families is uncivilized to say the least, he maintained.
He deplored that seven decades of impunity suffered by the people of IIOJK was too long and the UN, human right organizations and the world community should stop the Kashmirs’ genocide in the territory.
