President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan has urged international community and UN Security Council to play its role in ending human rights violations being committed by India in Occupied Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday afternoon, he said the belligerent attitude, irresponsible moves and hegemonic designs of India in the region have put peace and security of the entire region at stake.
Sardar Masood Khan said Pakistan, since the day one, has extended its support on moral, political, and diplomatic fronts for resolving the Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of the people of the valley and in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
He appreciated the role of international organizations and media specifically the European and British Parliament for highlighting the issue and urging India to end human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
He thanked European Parliament for discussing the Kashmir issue in its session being held today.
He also appreciated the role of China, Turkey Iran and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet for raising voice against Indian aggression in Occupied Kashmir.
Sardar Masood Khan, however, regretted that all major powers are silent in support of state-sponsored terrorism of India.
The AJK President appealed to the European Parliament to side with the oppressed Kashmiris by calling for an end to massive and gross human rights violations and crimes against humanity being committed in Occupied Kashmir.
He said the whole Kashmir valley is completely under the siege, and the carnage of innocent civilians is continuing at the hands of Indian troops.
The AJK President said Kashmiris are determined to get their rights and will continue their struggle until they get freedom.
