Asghar Khan implementation Case adjourned by SC

The supreme court judge Mr Justice Azmat Saeed Shaikh took up the famous Asghar Khan Case related to the question of funding the IJI, Islamic Jamhoori Ittehad formed by the then government headed by President Late Ghulam Ishaq Khan alongwith the late General Gul Hameed, General Durrani and Army Chief General Aslam Baig. 
 
The case filed former Air Chief Asghar Khan late and was decided by the bench headed by former chief of supreme court Iftekhar Chaudhry. Late Younus Habib in the hearing submitted before the court about the funding made by him through Habib Bank Ltd as he was serving the nationalised bank as provincial chief of Sindh. The family of late Asghar Khan after the death of the plaintiff decided to follow the case whereas there was no proper execution report of the judgement filed by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). 
 
It may be placed on record that Mr Younus Habib, the principal character as funding official (of IJI  )expired on April 24, 2019 and the hearing today (June 12, 2019) held was the first one by the honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan at Islamabad after his death. Informed sources say that a case was also filed by Late Younus Habib for recovery of the funds by an intelligence agency, headed by the then chief General Durrani.

    SC must see Asghar Khan case and take it to a logical conclusion. Good coverage.
