Dagha’s removal shows ‘lack of govt’s vision’

Islamabad: Government removed Finance Secretary, Younus Dagha on developing differences with Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance, Dr Hafeez Sheikh during negotiations with International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Officials in Ministry said that he was not consulted by Dr Hafeez during recent talks with IMF.

Due to lack of vision for appointing appropriate person and incompetency of current rulers has created walls among bureaucracy and people in helm of government affairs, opined political pundits.

Everyone is working without streamlining the government’s matters and absence of policy has made things difficult to deal with, they remarked.

Cabinet Secretary, Naveed Kamran Baloch would now act as new finance secretary while Maroof Afzal has been appointed new Cabinet Secretary, officials confirmed.

Dagha has been directed to report to Establishment Division.
